This report examines the corporate governance and strategic approaches to climate change of 63 of the world’s largest consumer products and information technology companies in 11 industry sectors… While all of the companies could do more to improve their governance responses, important progress is being made…The technology, pharmaceutical and semiconductor sectors had the highest average climate governance score…The beverages and personal & household goods sectors were relatively strong performers… The apparel sector, grocery & drug retailers and big box retailers – all of which have large real estate carbon footprints – had lower average scoring results…The travel & leisure, real estate and restaurant sectors had the lowest average scores among the sectors reviewed.
