[PDF] How to promote the Guiding Principles in divided environments? The perspectives of affected stakeholders

We, civil society organizations from Europe and indigenous leaders from Central and South America organized this side event as an “open session” between indigenous and civil society representatives and members of the Working Group, based on short presentations of real cases and the perspective of indigenous communities. We seek to create an environment of open exchange of ideas and questions, focused on the main challenges and recommendations promoting the Guiding Principles in local communities and particularly in indigenous populations. [Event held at Palais des Nations, on 3 Dec 2012, 1:00 to 3:00 pm, Room XXI]
