This report builds on other work undertaken by the General Inquiry into pregnancy discrimination "Pregnant and Productive", conducted by the Equal Opportunities Commission in 2003 and 2004. It is intended to provide an overview of some of the relevant legal provisions in a number of other countries which prohibit pregnancy dismissal and discrimination.
