It is important that we pay particularly close attention in Sri Lanka to the possibility of discrimination based on ethnic, religious, gender and caste or social status, and the conflict has made these issues even more important. In fact, we believe that ensuring fair and equitable working conditions is one of the most important contributions we can make to help improve the overall environment in the country.
