Policy and Campaigns Officer at European Women’s Lobby (EWL)

Founded in 1990, the European Women’s Lobby (EWL) is the largest alliance of women’s non-governmental associations in the European Union, with members throughout the EU who come together around our common vision of a Feminist Europe. We are a credible source of expertise and experience on women’s rights and equality between women and men, representing the diversity of the women’s movement across the European Union. We represent an inclusive, confident, loud, independent feminist voice and bring real women’s voices into the EU political arena.

In a time of unprecedented national, European, and global change, diminishing confidence in the prevailing political and economic models, and renewed energy within the women’s movement, we believe that EWL has a unique opportunity in the next five years to represent the collective strength of our members, position us strongly within the women’s rights movement globally, and present a timely, new and exciting vision and strategy for a feminist Europe.

The EWL is recruiting a Policy and Campaigns Officer, to contribute to EWL’s work through the design and delivery of high impact policy, advocacy and campaign plans with a focus on positioning women at the heart of political, social and economic participation and decision-making. As a key part of delivering EWL’s new Strategic Plan “For a Feminist Europe”, this person will work within the EWL Secretariat and with EWL members to strengthen EWL’s campaigns to ensure that more women are elected into positions of political power in Europe, as well as to advance women’s decision-making power across public and private institutions.

This is an exciting opportunity for a feminist who is looking for a professional challenge campaigning with women’s organisations across Europe to have an impact on women’s rights and gender equality in Europe.
This is a key position within the EWL’s Policy and Campaigns team at the heart of the EWL’s dynamic team of committed staff in Brussels.
