Pregnancy discrimination is when a woman is discriminated against due to pregnancy, intention to become pregnant or even her potential to become pregnant, e.g. when she has expressed a desire to have children or is considered to be likely to become pregnant. It is considered a form of gender discrimination. Risk of discrimination can impact the choice of women to have children.
