Oxfam is looking for a Private Sector Policy Adviser to contribute to the delivery of Oxfam GB’s private sector engagement strategy which aims to influence business to play a more active role in reducing poverty, improving women’s economic empowerment, whilst respecting and promoting human rights, and tackling inequality.
This role will contribute to delivering Oxfam’s policy and advocacy work towards UK food retailers in support of Oxfam’s Behind the Barcodes campaign, which seeks to end human suffering in global food supply chains. It will also play an active role in delivering Oxfam’s wider private sector research, policy and advocacy work, which may include providing support to other campaign priorities, engagement in different private sector-related projects and initiatives, and engagement in relevant public policy debates.
You will work with colleagues in the Private Sector team in the UK and around the world, and as part of multi-disciplinary teams of researchers and lobbyists, media officers and campaigners.
