Promising Prospects for Sustainability Reporting in Thailand?

[I]n recent years we have seen a trend of more integrated and strategic approaches to CSR linked to core business. With ISO 26000 and the GRI reporting guidelines now available in Thai, there are promising prospects that we will see further improvements in effective measuring, management and disclosure of social and environmental performance...So far sustainability reporting in Thailand is still in its infancy...Of the...top 50 listed companies, only 19 companies have produced a CSR report in 2012...The uptake of international guidance is also limited to date and only a relatively small number of reporting companies produce GRI reports...We hope that 2013 will see this trend continue and pick up pace...CSR Asia...will be tracking sustainability reporting in Thailand as the GRI’s local data partner.
