Police from Pakistan's Central Investigation Agency (CIA) detained the hotel workers following an electrical fire at the hotel on 6 January. They were held for more than 48 hours without charge, which is illegal...This new instance of harassment involving police is merely the latest in a series of incidents in which Pearl Continental management have attempted to suppress union activities.
