Report highlights the business case for engaging extractive companies on human rights

"Human rights in the extractive industry: Why, who and how to engage", Jul 2015

This report looks at the business case for engaging extractive companies on human rights. It outlines the need for collaborative engagement, and for using the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights as a core reference framework. Based on the findings of two investor-company roundtables, and research into the disclosure of 50 extractive companies, the report suggests six areas for engagement, each of which include engagement questions, case studies and further resources.
