Research Associate, Sustainable Leadership at Hamburg School of Business Administration

HSBA Hamburg School of Business Administration is the university of choice for business in Hamburg, with more than 850 students and around 250 cooperating companies from Hamburg and the surrounding city region. The Claussen-Simon Foundation promotes science and research, and special emphasis is given to the advancement of young researchers in the Hamburg region. The jointly founded ‘Claussen-Simon Graduate Centre at HSBA’ offers part-time doctorates in business and economics.

For the position of:

Research associate at the Dr. Jürgen Meyer Chair for International Business Ethics and Sustainability

We are looking for an ambitious person with a high level of interest in the area of Sustainable Management / Corporate Social Responsibility. The part-time position (50%) will allow the successful applicant to complete a doctorate at the Claussen-Simon Graduate Centre at HSBA. The position is to be filled as of 1 June 2016 and is limited in duration to three years. The successful applicant will carry out the following tasks:

• Providing assistance in preparing and implementing the curriculum

• Coordinating research collaboration • Holding and further developing lectures for bachelor’s and master’s students on the topic of “Scientific work”

• Participating in the collection of empirical data and in the transcription and evaluation of such data

• Researching literature, preparing publications and providing editorial assistance in publishing an anthology

• Coordinating conferences and workshops

• An excellent university qualification (master’s degree) in a discipline related to business or economics

• A strong command of written and spoken German and English

• Basic knowledge of qualitative empirical methods
