For many years, we have been an active member of various sector-specific initiatives in Business and Human Rights, including the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights (implemented in Colombia through the Colombian Mining and Energy Committee on Security and Human Rights (CME), of which we are a member), the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI), and the International Council on Mining and Metals (ICMM). Our commitment to human rights is furthermore evidenced through our continued membership of the UN Global Compact, and the alignment of our environmental policies and policies for community engagement with the standards of the International Finance Corporation (IFC).
