Response from Chevron

Chevron engages with numerous third-party organizations and policy makers that take positions on a range of issues. We are not always aligned with all the views of those people and organizations, but it’s important for us to engage with them to discuss issues affecting our business. It is important for us to be part of conversations on challenging issues where there are multiple points of view.

Recent events have sparked an important national dialogue and have prompted Chevron and others into action to increase backing for racial equity. In framing our support for racial equity, we have three primary goals:

  • Increase representation, retention and development of Black employees
  • Increase understanding of Black experiences
  • Expand relationships with schools, community and business partners

Recent statements from company leaders on these issues can be found online here.
