Job Summary

The Senior Project Officer (SPO) will be based in Guangzhou, China and prepared to travel as required.  The SPO will work with the rest of the Impactt team to develop and deliver high quality project work.

The SPO will be a key contributor to Impactt’s vision: “To be the global leader in enabling organisations and individuals to improve workers’ livelihoods as an integral part of profitable and sustainable trade”.

Job Description

Project Work

 Coordinating and completing factory assessments, special investigation, remediation and consultancy programs;

 Supporting Project Managers to develop training materials, guidelines and tools for the implementation of projects;

 Supporting others to prepare for training sessions which includes material preparation, invitations and registration, training facilitation, writing evaluation and summary reports;

 Lead Impactt projects such as audits, training and factory improvement projects;

 Talking to and working with factory managers and workers;

 Liaising with project factories and/or other clients;

 Supporting Project Managers to design new products;

 Supporting Project Managers to sell more businesses and to maintain client networking.


 Organising travel arrangement/itineraries as required;

 Maintaining the internal factory data base, marketing list and other data assigned by Project managers;

 Other administration work assigned by the Office Manager.

Skills, Knowledge and Attitude

 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;

 Be fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese;

 Proficient in Microsoft office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook and Web skills;

 Open minded and willing to learn new things;

 Team player;

 Integrity and reliable;

 Self-managing time and priorities to delivering work on-time, on-budget;

 Paying attention to detail and works to achieve ‘right first time’ in their work;

 Willing to travel frequently and work under pressure;

 Demonstrating good project management skills;

 Demonstrating solid EHS or HR knowledge;

 Demonstrating worker training skills and strong data analysis skills.

Qualifications and Experience

 An undergraduate university degree or above

 At least 5 years’ experience in CSR field, including at least 2 years’ compliance auditor experience

 Lead auditor experience or Factory HR/EHS function supervisor experience is preferable
