Senior Researcher: Child Labour in Supply Chains
- Location: Liverpool, U.K
- Salary: 1 year contract Full Time
- Contract Type: Competitive, commensurate with experience
- Closing Date: 27/01/2020
Fifty Eight is seeking a Senior Researcher for a one year contract as part of a 3 year UK Aid funded programme focused on reducing and preventing the worst forms of child labour (WFCL) in global supply chains.
The programme focuses on Ethiopia, Central African Republic and the Democratic Republic of Congo and leverages cross-sector partnerships including NGOs, law enforcement and global corporations.
Drawing on your knowledge and experience of complex global supply chains, you will join our partnership with the consortium to create an evidence base of best practice, as well as develop new models of due-diligence – both locally and globally. You will be responsible for leading and shaping the research approach as well as undertaking elements of the programme management and delivery for Fifty Eight.
Research will also identify how both local and global private sector actors can contribute to strengthening pathways to safe and decent alternatives to the worst forms of child labour, and will also inform the testing of context specific interventions that aim to improve enabling environments for the private sector to support the reduction and prevention of the worst forms of child labour.
