Ship Carrying Toxic Ash Sink Off Turkish Coast

A ship holding a cargo of toxic fly ash from Spain for more than four years, sank Monday off Turkey's southeast Mediterranean coast. The vessel, MV Ulla, had been anchored near the port of Iskenderun since 2000 while authorities from the two countries sorted out what to do about the hazardous cargo... The St. Vincent-flagged MV Ulla is owned by Turkish shipping line Mavi Deniz. [also refers to Dragados (now Grupo ACS), Asland Catalunya y del Mediterraneo, Lafarge Asland (part of Lafarge)]
