Silver Standard response to MiningWatch Canada

We take all concerns relating to corporate social responsibility seriously. We thoroughly investigated the allegations raised by the requesters as well as the non-governmental organization involved. Following our investigation, we determined that the concerns raised relating to our community engagement processes and environmental compliance and impact were without merit. We shared such information and findings with the Office of the CSR Counsellor as part of its review process. Given our findings, structured dialogue at our Pirquitas Mine in Argentina has and should continue to involve our own closer-to-the ground dispute resolution processes. We continue to welcome dialogue with the community members on issues related to community engagement, environmental monitoring and other concerns, particularly through their continued participation in our existing bilateral and multi-lateral community relations and environmental monitoring processes…
