Solomon Islands: Environment Advisory Committee withholds development consent for bauxite mine

The Solomon Islands Environment Advisory Committee (EAC) has refused consent for a bauxite mine on Wagina Island. The decision has been appealed by the developer, Solomon Bauxite Limited (SBL) and defeated.
