Spotlight on unions and women [Belgium]: Mia de Vits, FGTB Belgium

The gap between men and women remains very large, with a 30% difference in pay for jobs of equal status...That is all compounded by other factors, such as sexual harassment, which are increasingly being brought to light with women often being the victims. In Belgium, a law providing for a protection procedure is currently in draft form. With regard to sexual harassment, we have managed to get companies to designate members of staff whom employees can confide in.
