Childhood exposure to environmental tobacco smoke (ETS) is associated with an increased prevalence of asthma among adult non-smokers. According to a Swedish study published in the September issue of CHEST, the peer-reviewed journal of the American College of Chest Physicians (ACCP), ETS also increases the chance that exposed children will smoke in adulthood.
