Tanzania: NGOs claim Acacia Mining's new grievance mechanism does not meet international standards, company responds

Five civil society organisations have written an open letter to Acacia Mining claiming that the recently revised grievance mechanism at the company's Tanzania's subsidiary is not compliant with its human rights obligations. The company has responded to the allegations saying any concerns by the organisations is due to a misunderstanding of the objectives of the grievance mechanism's objectives.
