In 2006, Rick Thomson and Judi Wineland founded Tanzania Conservation Limited to purchase 12,600 acres of pristine wilderness east of Serengeti National Park in a legal, public, transparent bidding process. A small minority who opposed the land purchase, some of whom had a personal financial interest in it, began a campaign of misinformation and fabrication against the project... This site aims to tell the true story about the Enashiva Nature Refuge and to address some of the false claims that have been lodged against the project... We will give a voice to those leaders and community members who have been completely ignored...: the people who have actually collaborated with Tanzania Conservation Limited, who have been involved with the ongoing efforts at Enashiva, and who have continued to support the project. The people of Sukenya and many other communities remain firmly committed to Enashiva, just as we are committed to all the communities who support us so strongly and to all those whose voices have been ignored.
