Trade Unions Call for Social Dimension at UN Commission on Sustainable Development

Trade union representatives at the United Nations Commission on Sustainable Development (CSD) have called on governments to prioritise social concerns in their actions for sustainable development. The plans under discussion will form the basis for implementing the outcomes of last year’s Johannesburg World Summit for Sustainable Development...the main thrust of the document pays insufficient attention to poverty eradication and the overall social dimension of sustainable development.
