Training Manager at Ethical Trading Initiative

The Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) is currently looking for new staff and our latest opportunity is in our Knowledge and Learning unit.

ETI a leading alliance of companies, trade unions and NGOs that promotes respect for workers’ rights worldwide. ETI’s training unit supports our work by developing and providing high-quality training and capacity-building activities in the field of ethical trade, for retailers and their suppliers, trade unions and non-governmental organisations (NGOs).

We are looking for an experienced training manager with experience in a business environment.  A confident communicator with skills in marketing and experience of identifying and meeting the learning needs of a diverse audience from a range of sectors and backgrounds.

You will be a strategic thinker who can identify opportunities for expanding ETI’s training programme in a way that will help achieve our organisational goals, including seeing the potential for exploiting e-learning and other delivery mechanisms.

You will put your excellent project management and people skills to good effect in setting and managing budgets, implementing marketing strategies, liaising with trainers and contractors, and developing high-quality learning materials.

This is a part time post of 30 hours a week, with a salary of £42,000 per annum pro rata plus benefits with the possibility of becoming full time post. We also offer 25 days annual holiday (pro rata) and 6% pension contribution.
