"No job, no food; 2 Kerala men stranded in Sharjah seek help to return home," 23 Jul 2019
Two Kerala men are struggling to survive in Sharjah for the last three months without job and food... the two are painting workers in a Dubai-based construction company owned by Palestinian natives. Mahhesh and Shajahan have been working with the company for over two years. Their work visas ended in May 2019... the company stopped paying them salary... [they] requested the company to cancel their work permits and send them back home... Majority of the workers in the company are north Indians. For the last three months, they have been struggling to move on without job and money... Though friends bring them food, many a times the two have no food.
