Ukraine: 4 injured in explosion at Christmas fair; police launch criminal investigation

The police have launched a criminal investigation into the fire in Lviv that injured four people, the communication department of the Main Department of the National Police in the Lviv region has said.The fire is being investigated based on facts suggesting a possible violation of Part 1 of Article 270 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of fire safety rules)...As earlier reported, a fire started at one of wooden houses at a Christmas fair in downtown Lviv...The press service of the Lviv City Council said the people were injured following a blast of a cooking gas tank in a wooden house while food was being cooked. At present, two people are being treated in the intensive care department in a local hospital while two others – in the burns department.
