UN Special Rapporteur releases new report examining assembly & association rights in the context of natural resource exploitation

 

In June 2015 Maina Kiai, the UN Special Rapporteur on the rights to freedom of peaceful assembly and of association submitted a thematic report to the Human Rights Council, which focuses on assembly and association rights in the context of natural resource exploitation.  Below you can access the full report as well as a factsheet which summarises the report’s recommendations.
