United States: NextEra Energy involved in workers' rights and health and safety incidents of its subsidiary power utility company Florida Power & Light

Florida Power & Light's (FLP) employee was fired after raising a safety concern in 2017. FPL is a Florida-based power utility company and a subsidiary of NextEra Energy, which was later involved in a worker's accident in 2018. The Nuclear Regulatory Commission fined Florida Poder & Light $232,000 for two violations of federal rules at its St. Lucie County plant.
