US fund exits ONGC [India]

New York-based fund house TIAA-CREF has pulled out its investments in ONGC and a clutch of Chinese firms to pressure companies against doing business with the Sudan government which has been accused of human rights violations and war crimes...ONGC said its operations never support any oppressive activities anywhere in the world but it would not move out of Sudan because of the TIAA-CREF move.
