US Govt. proposals for carbon emissions control on energy sector

On 2 June 2014, the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) proposed cuts in greenhouse gas emissions by US power plants of 30% from 2005 levels, by 2030. In addition to reducing US contributions to greenhouse gases and climate change, the EPA claimed that reductions in related pollutants would have health benefits including avoiding 2700 to 6600 premature deaths and 140,000 to 150,000 asthma attacks in children.
