"Exec sues Mitsubishi for gender discrimination", 25 Sep 2018

A former senior executive at...Mitsubishi has filed a...lawsuit against two of the firm’s subsidiaries for alleged “career-altering” gender discrimination.  The lawsuit...alleged that Mitsubishi intentionally engaged in gender discrimination when it filled the role of General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer...Fischman claims she was overlooked for the top spot.  It was alleged that after speaking out against the wrongful discrimination against herself and other female employees, Mitsubishi terminated the senior employee, who earned high marks year after year for her stellar performance.  Fischman said she felt she had to “pay the price” for having “the audacity to speak up on behalf of myself and other women who I felt were being discriminated against”.  The lawsuit was filed against Mitsubishi Chemical Holding Corporation (Mitsubishi) and Mitsubishi Chemical Holdings America (MCHA)...
