[video] Al Jazeera: Apple, Iran Sanctions, and Discrimination

National Iranian American Council says Apple is overzealously enforcing US sanctions. Joining me now...is Jamal Abdi, a policy director from the NIAC...Apple says they don't discriminate against anyone so is this an overzealous poorly trained sales assistant not really understanding US export controls? We don't know that this is the case because Apple has not issued any kind of statement about whether or not their policy is to racially profile Iranian-Americans...in order to enforce the sanctions and regulations...the way that the employee arrived at this decision seems to be ethnic profiling and now we are hearing there are other incidents of this happening...it is incumbent on Apple to issue some sort of directive to make it clear this is not the policy of Apple to be profiling Iranians and Iranian-Americans at its stores...
