[video] US activists press Apple on worker conditions

Demonstrators have gathered outside Apple's flagship retail store in New York's Grand Central Terminal to protest against worker conditions in the technology giant's factories in China. Along with protesters at several other retail locations around the US, the demonstrators outside the newly-opened store delivered a petition to employees criticising conditions for workers in the Foxconn plant that manufactures iPhones and iPads for the Cupertino-based company.[Transcript]: [Apple said] we insist that our suppliers provide safe working conditions, treat workers with dignity and respect…Our suppliers must live up to these requirements if they want to keep doing business with Apple.
