[This ITGLWF statement follows on from the recent ITGLWF article "Belgium's Dress Confect Slammed over Labour Rights Abuses in Sri Lanka"]...the problems at GP Garments remain unresolved...The situation has now deteriorated to the point where the entire workforce has been terminated...in view of the seriousness of the situation and the failure to resolve the problems at local level, we have had no alternative but to bring the matter to the French Army, one of the clients of GP Garments. We are now preparing a submission to the OECD under the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises.
