Equity Bank's initiative with Kenya Red Cross to help famine-stricken counties

"Equity partners with Kenya Red Cross to fight hunger"

Equity Bank has partnered with the Kenya Red Cross Society to mobilise Kenyans to make donations towards drought stricken counties. The Bank has launched an EazzyPay Pay bill number 200000 where well-wishers can send their contributions through Eazzy Banking App or Equitel. Using the cash transfer program initiated by KRCS, the donations will benefit families hardest hit by the ongoing drought in the country.

The We Are All Kenyans initiative is aimed at raising Sh1 billion to feed the nearly two million citizens affected by drought in the country. The National Disaster Management Authority report shows that the food security situation may continue to worsen over the next few months due to failure of the short rains
