New Zealand: NGOs and companies call on govt. to initiate inquiry into a Modern Slavery Act
Eighty-five New Zealand companies signed an open letter calling on the Government to commence an inquiry into a Modern Slavery law for the country. The signatories note that numerous countries have already introduced similar legislations and that New Zealand must similarly show leadership to end modern slavery.
