A group of United Nations experts applauded the adoption of a new law requiring human rights due diligence by large French companies in their operations and supply chains...The Working Group welcomes this effort to more effectively prevent business-related human rights abuse, in line with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights*. It views this as an example of efforts to implement the Guiding Principles through a smart mix of approaches, including regulation, policy and guidance to incentivize corporate respect for human rights.
