Peru: UN Rapporteur on Defenders ends visit to the country and points out cases involving corporate-related attacks
From 21 January to 3 February, the UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights Defenders paid an official visit to Peru, at the invitation of the government of that country. In addition to visiting the capital, the Rapporteur interviewed individuals from the government and various institutions, as well as 475 people who gave their testimonies, in Cusco, Madre de Dios, Piura and Ucayali.
