Demonstrators Protest Daewoo, Shwe Gas Project [South Korea]

A new round of demonstrations against Daewoo International Corp were held on Wednesday in front of company offices and South Korean embassies around the world for the company’s involvement in the Shwe gas fields off Burma’s western coast...there have been reports that local fishing rights have been revoked to make room for gas exploration and development, and there are widespread reports of forced labor and other human rights abuses in Arakan and Chin states.
