Global: Delivery workers organise against low pay, violent attacks and poor working conditions during pandemic

Delivery riders from several countries organised against low pay, harassment and violent attacks during the pandemic.

While being considered essential workers, many riders reported being harassed over lockdown restrictions, even as they risked their lives to deliver in areas with Covid-19 outbreaks. In many cases, workers struggled to make even minimum wage. Incidents of violence against workers and racist attacks also reportedly rose, during this period.
