As the government continues to spend hundreds of millions of rials a year awarding contracts to companies to build the infrastructure, companies push their workers to increase productivity and compromise their safety standards. Most companies are practically interested in staying ahead of their competitors and making huge turnover and in doing so put the welfare of their staff on a low priority. There is no official statistics of how many company workers get hurt in the course of their duties but according to the individual Health and Safety Environment's (HSE) records of top 10 contractors, more than 3,700 of them needed medical treatment in 2014...
