[Summary translation prepared by Business & Human Rights Resource Centre]

Prosecutor's Office of Lovozersky District identified violations of anti-corruption legislation, 26 February 2025

The Prosecutor's Office of Lovozersky District identified violations of anti-corruption legislation during an inspection of Lovozersky Mining and Processing Plant. In March 2024, the company hired a former state employee who previously worked at Correctional Facility No. 23 of the Federal Penitentiary Service in the Murmansk Region. However, the company failed to notify the employee’s former employer within the legally required 10-day period.

To address and prevent such violations, the prosecutor submitted a formal representation to the company’s general director. Additionally, an administrative case was initiated against the responsible official under Article 19.29 of the Russian Code of Administrative Offenses, which concerns the unlawful employment of current or former state or municipal employees.
