4th Session (2018)

The 4th Session of the IGWG took place from 15 to 19 October 2018 and was dedicated to negotiations on the zero draft legally binding instrument to regulate, in international human rights law, the activities of transnational corporations and other business enterprises, as well as a zero draft optional protocol to be annexed to the zero draft legally binding instrument.

Sessions 1-3 (2015-2017)

The first three sessions of the IGWG were dedicated to deliberations on the content, scope, nature and form of the future international instrument on business and human rights. This phase culminated in the third session with discussions on Elements for a draft legally binding instrument on transnational corporations and other business enterprises with respect to human rights.

1st Session (2015)

At its first session, which was held from 6 to 10 July 2015, the IGWG conducted deliberations on the content, scope, nature and form of the future international instrument.

2nd Session (2016)

The second session took place from 24-28 October 2016 and was dedicated to continued deliberations on the content, scope, nature and form of the future international instrument.

3rd Session (2017)

This third session took place place from 23-27 October 2017. The Working Group discussed the Elements for a draft legally prepared by the Chairperson-Rapporteur of the IGWG taking into consideration the discussions held during the first two sessions.
