Kenya: NGOs, Lipton Teas and Infusions & Finlays oppose nomination of alleged sex offender as director of tea factory

Lipton Teas and Finlays and six human rights organizations are opposed to the nomination of John Chebochok as director of Tegat Tea Factory. Lipton Teas and Finlays have suspended business with Toror Tea Factory and expressed concern to the Kenya Tea Development Agency (KTDA) about the appointment. Six human rights organizations have moved to court seeking to block appointment stating that the BCC documentary exposed Mr. Chebochok abusing his power and office by sexually exploiting women who worked and sought job opportunities at James Finlays Kenya.
