Exclusive Contract Services (ECS)

ECS response to exploitation of undocumented workers outsourced to Sainsbury's

The Resource Centre invited ISS to respond to the following questions:

  1. Respond to the report’s findings;
  2. Disclose the steps it is taking to investigate and remediate the reported abuse; and,
  3. Disclose how you monitor working conditions.

Exclusive Contract Services maintains vigorous employment procedures and regularly reviews immigration queries with government authorities to ensure compliance with current legislation.

In the matter of Mohammed Chune, Exclusive Contract Services fully and willingly cooperated with the Home Office in gathering information to build the successful case against Mr Chune.

At no point was it suggested by the Home Office that Exclusive Contract Services was in any way connected with any wrongdoings in this matter.

For the avoidance of doubt, Exclusive Contract Services acts in compliance with all immigration and employment rules and regulations.

As well as failing to adhere to Exclusive Service Contract’s rigorous HR guidelines and Codes of Conduct, the court has found that Mr Chune also failed to act according to British law and has been sentenced accordingly.

Exclusive Contract Services condone all misconduct in this matter.
