Union representatives Noem Sokhoeun, Sean Sokleab and Pen Sophorn were briefly arrested by police amid a demonstration of more than 1,000 shoe-factory workers of Can Sports Shoe, a supplier for Adidas, in Kampong Chhnang, Cambodia. Police said workers should be only allowed to submit letters instead of protesting. The union leaders were released after signing an agreement to stop organising protests.
