Story

Bangladesh: Garment factory shuts due to 'lack of work', laying off 400 workers; incl. co. responses

In February 2025, it was reported that all workers at The Dress and Ideas factory in Bangladesh (over 400 workers), were laid off after the factory shut, reportedly due to a lack of work.

In April 2025, Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited Ernsting's family, Lidl, New Wave Group, OVS, X-Ray Jeans to respond. The responses and non-responses can be found below.
