Story

Indonesia: Garment factory supplying Nike set to layoff over 2,000 workers due to order decline; incl. co. response

In October 2025, it was reported that 2,804 workers at PT Victory Chingluh in Indonesia were set to be laid off because of a decline in orders from buyers, reportedly due to production quality. The Congress of Indonesia Unions Alliance (KASBI) considers the layoff policy to be non-transparent and potentially detrimental to workers. The union also argued that workers are unfairly paying the consequence for alleged production quality issues.
