Myanmar: Garment workers prevented from returning home from factory following flood

Allegations

"Water enters factory, but workers are not allowed to return home", 22 October 2024

[...]

Today (October 22), water entered the factory. The factory manager did not allow the workers to return home...

The workers are requesting it because the flood is a serious situation.

The factory manager and HR are refusing to let them go back. The power lines are too dangerous.

HR said, if you go back, you can, but they will deduct the daily wage.

The daily wage is not fixed...

Other factories...provide separate subsidies. This factory doesn't give them that...

The factory currently produces CLIQUE brand clothes.
