NETGEAR's response to TTNC Watch report on Taiwanese Businesses in Indonesia

Upon receiving the “Report on the Human Rights and Environmental Impact of Taiwanese Businesses in Indonesia,” NETGEAR immediately reviewed it internally and with Pegatron's management team. While NETGEAR does manufacture some products in Pegatron’s Pegaunihan factory in Batamindo Industrial Estate, Batam city, Indonesia, there are multiple facilities on that campus and NETGEAR does not manufacture any products in the facility that is the subject of the report. That said, it is important to us that our ODM partners conduct business in an ethical and compliant manner across the board. Accordingly, we take these allegations seriously and are actively working with Pegatron as we investigate. Pegatron has stated to NETGEAR that they disagree with the allegations made and will conduct an independent audit to further validate their statement. They will provide their findings to NETGEAR when completed no later than March 2025.

As a long-standing member of the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA), NETGEAR is committed to responsible business practices and supply chain transparency. We adhere to RBA standards, which help identify and mitigate risks like forced labor. Pegatron is also an RBA member.

NETGEAR conducts annual RBA Validated Assessment Program audits across all of our ODM manufacturing facilities. In November 2024, we conducted an annual audit of the Pegatron Indonesia facility which is used for NETGEAR related products with no priority findings. Because NETGEAR does not manufacture products in the facility at issue in the report, NETGEAR lacks insight into the operations at issue here.

NETGEAR will continue to work with the Pegatron management team, who have given us assurances that any findings that are validated by Pegatron will be fully and expeditiously addressed, even if they do not relate to NETGEAR’s operations specifically. In addition to the Pegatron follow-up audit, NETGEAR will also conduct another independent audit.

NETGEAR remains committed to managing supply chain impacts, conducting audits, and fostering collaboration through quarterly business reviews with our key partners to drive continuous improvement. We thank you for your efforts and welcome further collaboration on this and any other relevant matters that come to your attention.
